When the
Crocker Galleria -- a San Francisco Financial District shopping mall
-- planned its grand opening gala, it selected the International
Visitors Center (IVC) to be the charitable beneficiary of the event. At the same time,
the IVC converted from a federal commission to a privately funded
non-profit agency.
WMG used the grand opening event
as a forum to announce the IVC change to the private sector.
WMG
garnered
editorial support in both San Francisco newspapers, obtained an
official City of San Francisco proclamation and achieved regional
and national coverage concerning IVC's
privatization.
Our
work on the Crocker Galleria opening resulted in the attendance of
over 1500 people from business, retail, society, entertainment,
media and government as well as extensive media coverage in all of
the major local and regional press. The IVC netted over $155,000.
